About Me

I started my Real Estate career in January 2001.  I was with Sutton Group - Canwest Vista for over 19 years. As of June 2020, I am excited to join the team at Royal LePage Solutions.

Personal History   - I have lived in Alberta my entire life.  I was born in Spirit River.  My family moved to Grande Prairie soon afterward and this is where I spent a large portion of my "formative years".  After the 10th grade, my family moved once again... this time to Edmonton.  I finished high school (Strathcona Composite) and university (University of Alberta) in the Capital City (Go Oilers!).  I moved to Calgary in 1997.  In 1998, I met my future wife Chantelle and in 2001 we were married.  In 2002, Chantelle and I moved from scenic Canyon Meadows to the award-winning community of McKenzie Towne.  In the summer of 2007, we decided to move to the premier family lake community of Lake Bonavista.  As of 2020, we are quite content and have established deep roots in the neighbourhood with our 3 daughters.

Other Information  - I have also been working in the I.T. (Information Technology) Management field for the past 20+ years... and no, I won't work on your computer ;) ... although, please feel free to fire any questions at me. I also sit on the executive board at Trico Centre and the board for Lake Bonavista Homeowners Association (we oversee the lake).

I enjoy playing many sports, such as volleyball and golf.  I like to watch movies and sports (especially playoff hockey... even the Flames).  When I am not driving around the city selling Real Estate or working away on my computer, I am most likely to be spending time with family and friends.

My Philosophy

I believe that there are 4 fundamental character traits that every good Realtor must possess:

  1. Honesty - Truth.  Everyone knows what it is, but sometimes, when the chips are down, some people start creating their own versions of it.  Honesty is a big deal to me and it should be a big deal to you.  After all, the purchase or sale of your home is one of the largest, if not, the largest financial transaction most people will ever take part in.
  2. Integrity - Everyone has been taken advantage of at one time or another.  Hopefully, it wasn't during the purchase or sale of a previous home.  It is my job, as a real estate professional, to make sure that you are taken care of and your needs are being addressed.  I do not make deals for the sake of "making the sale".  I will do what is right for you.
  3. Strong Work Ethic - As with anything in life, the people who put in the time and effort to accomplish their goals are the most successful at doing so.  The purchase or sale of a home is an event of utmost importance in your life.  Your Realtor should be working hard to help you accomplish this goal.
  4. Knowledge - As important as honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic are, they are only useful if your realtor actually knows what they are doing.  To say that I know everything would be great, but it would be a lie.  I have a tremendous support system, including other realtors, lawyers, property inspectors, mortgage brokers, etc.  If I don't know, I will know someone who does.

If you are looking to work with a Realtor who has and values the above traits, please contact me.  I would love the opportunity to help you with your real estate needs.  I am an easy-going, work-at-your-own-pace, no pressure realtor.  The stress of buying and selling a home is high enough and your Realtor should not be adding to it.
